1. ChangemakerXchange.
About
ChagemakerXchange (CXC) gathers some of the world’s most exciting changemakers at impact retreats in beautiful spaces around the world for the exchange and co-creation of ideas.
CXC is co-created by Ashoka and Robert Bosch Stiftung.
Our founder Ingi Mehus became a member of CXC in 2015 and Pocket Stories have since been involved in several international collaboration projects and been official partner in two summits.
What we love about CXC is the strong belief in collaboration in the effort of creating positive impact across borders.
Amsterdam 2017: Cultural Diversity & Dialogue
The first ChangemakerXchange: Cultural Diversity & Dialogue summit was hosted in the Netherlands where 20 intercultural innovators from Europe, Middle East and North Africa came together for six days to #connect, #learn and #collaborate across borders.
paris 2017: rural communities
Rural communities are often forgotten in the increasingly globalised and urban world. Pocket Stories strives to amplify the unheard voices in order to celebrate diversity for a more inclusive future.

About
ImpactAimers empowers young people to kick-start a career as changemakers through immersive youth camps.
The youth camps guide young people through an exploration of their talents and gifts to discover their own unique purpose using tools such as storytelling and peer coaching. They also enable them to foster meaningful relationships through open space sessions and small group activities, with the purpose of sparking new collaborations to create social and environmental ventures that will benefit all sectors of society. ImpactAimers youth camps are unique in their kind as they is entirely organised and facilitated by fellow young social entrepreneurs from all over Europe and the MENA region. The direct involvement of successful young social entrepreneurs ensures that each participant receives personalised support to take the first steps in their journey, as well as authentic and hands-on insights into the life of social entrepreneurs.

4. Scripture (Y)our Story.
About
An international writing retreat for changemakers who are curious of their personal and our collective story.
We co-facilitated a five-day storytelling retreat in France with 16 storytellers from Dubai to Amsterdam. We spent the first day in Paris before we gathered in the charming Château de Rocheplatte castle outside Paris to explore our individual and collective narratives to drive meaningful and lasting impact.
Together we created a profound learning space that infused imagination, creativity and free expression.

Testimonials
“I experienced a sense of empowerment, connection, and trust in my own story and the contribution I’m attempting to make to the complex and demanding transformation our world is in. There was a space of deep sharing, deep listening, and authentic connecting that felt magical, highly enjoyable, and at times even sacred”
“I can humbly declare that it has changed my life… I now take a pen and write. Write about life, about the intention for the day, about what I believe the world needs, and about how I'd like to contribute. It's something that I would have never dared venturing into before these magical days”.
“Even now, two months later, I can see the impact that it has had on me in recognizing my own leadership, voice and story, and sharing it with others. I have been inspired to start my own local scripture your story retreat in Palestine so that I can help other changemakers here to connect to the larger story and go beyond the walls and struggle that seems to weigh us down and blind us so often.”
5. Magic Makers.
The Story of Us
Written by the Magic Maker participants - RAbat
Morocco is an intersection for migration between Africa and Europe and therefore hosts large number of migrants and refugees.
“So many people see Europe as a dream, and Morocco as a transit country. But because we are relatively successful, we can be an inspiration for others. That is our challenge.”
“Most of us arrived from DR Congo and some of us from Cameroon to this wonderful country of Morocco. We are determined to live here, and our values of freedom, equality, love and justice are the promise of a better tomorrow in this land of refuge.
Exposed to difficult conditions, we who lacked money for healthcare, food, rent and to overcome many more challenges - want to use our experiences in favour of improving the condition of refugees and of our fellow migrants. To this end, we wish to pursue our projects to improve our situation and to support others who end up in a similar situation.
In this journey, our story will show that we can suffer from hunger, thirst and more, and still manage to build something inspiring; projects that help improving the daily life of many people.”
About
'The Magic Makers' was an educational program for people with a refugee status who were passionate to create their own social enterprises in their new home countries. The aim of the programme was to empower these social entrepreneurs with a voice, tools, knowledge in social entrepreneurship, and an international network to implement ideas and solutions that have a direct social impact in their lives and communities. These magic makers are inspirational leaders who want to use their stories and ideas to inspire their multicultural communities. It was an honour to share stories and to join hands and hearts. There were many lessons and insights we will take from the experience we had in Morocco and Germany.
